One thing Noah did I want to share...
I don't think many would 'get' it but some of you ladies so I really wanna share.
We have been working on social skills for over a yr now. He has been in a school setting for almost 2 years, he has NEVER spoken a word to another child. EVER. ( on his own) They will talk to him and he will sometimes nod or gesture, but he has never spoken , answered or talked to a peer unless pushed by the teacher to do so. Its a huge concern of the staff's and a common issue addressed in evals.
So the other day at the park, we saw a younger boy ( 2 yrs old) and he was following Noah around. I said ask him his name, and Noah just stared at him. So I said , whats your name, his is Noah and the little boy took his hand and dragged him around for 30 minutes playing with him..lol
A little while later, there was another boy looking around the same2 yr old age.
I was attending to one of my twins, when I saw Noah walk up to him, kinda stand to the side, get up some courage and said
" Whats your name?".
"Me, Noah"
and then asked again ( kid didnt answer.lol) and then said
" cool tattoo, me like spiders too".
I am crying just typing this, and I almost bawled then and there too.
I just cannot espress how HUGE this is for him. My heart was hurting watching and hearing how exposed he felt, you could hear it in his voice, but he DID it.
It is times like those that you realize we are blessed. Noahs issues may be on a smaller scale then many others that frequent here, but the feelings the same.
He then climbed a high part of the playground equipment after some older kids ( like 7-8 yr olds) and he called out after them, " I did it too, me a big kid now too"
Those moments, we used to, or many still do, take for granted...As being so simple, so second nature for some. just make your heart literally swell with pride, and love, and protection and rawness.
Blah blah, Im blabbing. I just really hope someone gets what I mean, because this was one of the proudest moments of my life, and it was just so 'simple'.
Thanks!

I think this is absolutely amazing. What an incredible moment for your boy and for you !!!! So glad you were able to witness this !
I love hearing stories how children help other children, without even realizing how much they did.
Sometimes it takes just a simple experience to change our perspective forever. I hope Noah realizes how much fun other kids apparently think he is :) !!!!
