One week and two days late she is finally here!!!
Took a little while for me to find some time to sneak on (little one seems to be confusing her days and nights much to Mommy and Daddy's exhaustion!!) but my beautiful little girl Violet Jade was born on July 29th. I had a wonderful induction experience. I was really nervous because I was going into the induction still completely undilated but it really was a breeze. I got cervadil at 3am on the 29th, had my water broken by 8am, Pitocin by 9am, epidural by noon, and baby by 5pm (after less than 15 min of pushing!!) I was really nervous about the whole labor experience, but it was not bad at all and sooooo worth it!!
Since we've been home everything has been wonderful except for breastfeeding. I'm having a REALLY hard time with it, its been extemely painful, honestly I'm not enjoying it at all but I really want to try a little longer. Violet went from 7lbs 7oz in the hospital to 6lbs 12oz and mommy was a mess thinking that she was hurting her little girl by not being able to give her enough to eat. I've spoken to a lactation consultant and am going for weekly weight checks at the ped. to see if supplementing with formula will be necessary (we aren't yet, but if the ped suggests it next week we will definitely do so).
Other than the breastfeeding everything has been wonderful, DH and I are so in love with her, I can't wait to watch her grow.

congrats! i was wondering when you went. i remembering you FMing me because you were not dilated or anything either... i was in a similar situation, but you definitely went later than me! congrats to you... and i hear you with the breastfeeding. i had a very similar situation and still do... it's becoming a lot of formula feeding and supplementing with breast milk. i am just not making enough. keep trying though... it does get easier. your best is all you can give!
