Online Hotel Reservations?
What sites do you use to look for hotels? We want to go to Buffalo to celebrate our friend's engagement and need to book a hotel in May but want a good deal.
Thanks!!!

I check them all -- expedia has a lot of great deals but you have to pay in advance, the same with Orbitz. We are staying at Glen Cove Mansion the weekend of my sister's wedding and expedia was $30 less then the blocked rate my sister was quoted over the phone.
AAA generally gets you a 10% discount off regular rates. You sometimes get preferences if you register to become a preferred guest with hotels so you sometimes get more for your money (upgraded room or some snacks when you check in).

Re: Online Hotel Reservations?
I've recently tried a bunch of the travel sites(orbitz, travelocity...) and found hotels in the area I was looking but then went to the hotels website, looked at the rates and didn't see much of a savings from those travel sites

In my experience, I've found that each individual hotel has the best deal on their website.

Re: Online Hotel Reservations?
I do a lot of research before booking - I check the hotels website directly, entertainment book, AAA, and I find that AAA and this discount hotel site have the best deals.
www.hotels.com I find that I book here as much as AAA. I have never had a problem with them.
The best way to do it is price check all those sites - it really depends on the hotel chain etc to where you find the best deals
Etd to add play around with the area that you fill in for discounts - sometimes best available is better than AAA, and sometimes it is not - so try out different categories on the sites as well

You should shop around. The best deal we ever got was hotwire.com
