Re: Only wood floor cleaner??

The guy at Long Island Paneling said avoid Orange Glo and things with heavy wax/silicone. He recommended Bruce Hardwood cleaner; good for laminate AND real wood. Then he goes, "Between us, Windex is the best. Real or fake wood." LOL. And he's right. It really works, no residue. We have original oak wood plank floors.

Re: Only wood floor cleaner??

He didn't specify, but any works. However, I only use the ammonia free.....just my preference. I also use Bruce; spray down and mop up with dry swiffer

We use the Bruce's hardwood floor cleaner and love it!

If you are going to use Windex - I would use the ammonia free since the ammonia can strip out the shine.

Re: Only wood floor cleaner??

When we had a guy come in to do our floors he said not to use Murphy's Oil Soap...apparently it gets under the finish and lifts it (it's lifted in some spots of our living room from the previous owners).
I use Method Wood for Good floor cleaner.

Re: Only wood floor cleaner??

I use white vingar with water and it works great. Then once a year I use Pro Finish.

It's been great.
