OPK results question
I just started using an OPK (the clearblue tests) and i had two days where the surge line was lighter but then today (the day I'm supposed to be ovulating) I got no surge line at all. What does that mean? (I have a 30 day cycle and today is CD 15)

Re: OPK results question
It means you haven't O yet... I have a 31 day cycle and last month I O on CD20 (which is very late for me)... but I went by what the test said.. I used the same ones. Keep going until you get the surge line which will be alot draker than the control line.... What helped me was I held the test up and looked at it through the mirror.. and for some reason this helped me be 100% sure when the surge line was darker than the control line.. but I always had a light surge on mine (that is fine because from what I have read you always have this LH hormone in your body).

Re: OPK results question
Still no O. This is only a test month to figure out when in February I should try and its already making me nervous and frustrated. I am on CD17 of a 30 day cycle. Do you think I should be concerned?

Re: OPK results question
Not really answering your questions, but I found that that the digital OPK's were much easier for me to read. I always was confused with the one's that show the lines. They are more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth it. I used the clear blue easy with the happy face.

I know it is very stressful.. I went through the same thing this month (which it was our 1st month TTC)
I don't know where I heard or read this.. but I think you shouldn't be concerned if you don't O until after CD21 if you around a 29/31 day cycle... someone can jump in and correct me if I am wrong.
Sending some O dust your way!

Re: OPK results question
Don't be nervous at all. My first month TTC I don't think I O'd because I was focusing on it so much. Just try to relax everything will fall into place. Good luck!

Re: OPK results question
Thanks alot. I know its a very small concern to get so nervous about, especially when other people have such serious concerns to deal with but I can't help getting worried. My mom says just let nature take its course but I am such a planner that I can't help wondering why I haven't o'd yet. thanks again everyone.

Re: OPK results question
You can be a planner, nothing wrong with that. But I know that I was always "regular" and the first month my cycle was all whacky, I started spotting which I never did before, then when I did get pregnant, it was a late ovulation, CD 22. Don't worry!

Re: OPK results question
My line on the OPK this morning was alot darker than it has been, but not dark enough. Hopefully this just means that I am a late ovulator.

Re: OPK results question
Michele,
I would try testing this afternoon also. Sometimes your surge can happen in the afternoon and the fact that you saw a change is an indication that you should be surging soon. I'd get to BD'ing:)

Re: OPK results question
I never thought of retesting during the day. Thanks so much.
