OPK's... afew questions, new to them....
I was trying to not get too scientific with TTC. But AF showed her ugly head a few days ago. I do not know where to start with these.... what brand is the best to use... is it easy to use and read.... are the directions pretty self explanatory .... also if I do not ovulate , but still get AF do I just still keep testing until I get a postive on the OPK. Also, if it takes awhile to get a positive on the OPK does that mean I need to get to the doctor, I get AF like clock work every 26-28 days so something must be working right in there.... Sorry, I do not know much about these .... I really want to try the OPK when AF is finished and that will be in a day or so.... sorry if TMI. It seems like a BFP is never going to happen for me. here is baby dust for everyone trying....

My OB/GYN told me to start using the OPKs on CD10 until I get a positive.
IMO the easiest to read is the digital OPK it shows you a smiley face when it detects your LH surge. Which indicates it's time to BD! This past month I used Answer, which is just two lines. If the test line is as dark or darker than the reference line, that means it has detected your LH surge.

I use the clear blue digital OPK's. They are very easy to read!
My cycle is usually 31 or 32 days. I start them at CD13. With your cycle, I would prob start them at CD10.

First off you need to read about your cycle. I have made many posts about this so I don't have to write the same thing over and over. Heres some: Post 1
Tips
If your shortest cycle has been 26 days start testing on CD 9(CD 1 is the first day of full flow)

I like the Answer 20 pack...very sensitive IMO and plenty in the box so I can test multiple times around my surge.

I was using the 20 pack OPK's and I was testing when I woke up and around 4 PM every day starting CD10.
hey are pretty easy, but you HAVE to pee in a cup. Kind of annoying. But it's lest expensive than the 7 packs.

Re: OPK's... afew questions, new to them....
I used the Dollar Tree OPKs and they seem to work just fine. The readings are coinciding with other fertility signs (temp & CM) and they are less expensive than all the others.
Based on yur cycle, as Melissa said, start testing on CD9. If AF rears her ugly head without a + on the OPK, stop testing until after AF stops, and then I would start again on CD7 just to be on the safe side.
