OPK's-tips on first time use?

I will be using an OPK for the first time-any tips from anyone?

I bought the pack of strips from Amazon, and don't know if they are easy to use or not. Do I put them in my urine stream or pee in a cup? Thanks!!

the little strips are usually dipped in a cup. You would hold the end of the test side and dip the strip in the cup up to the first line..(there should be a marker on the test). hope this makes sense. Usually hold it there for 10 seconds or so, then lay flat for a few minutes. You'll see the control line appear soon, followed by a the test line (sometimes there isn't one if you are testing early).

I highly recommend the dip.

Less mess and I feel like I get less chance of error. GL! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I HIGHLY recommend using the CLEAR BLUE EASY :) OPKs. using the line tests that you dip is a guessing game...you never know when to consider a line...

I was on this road a long time and this is what the RE told me to do and we always had perfect timing :)
Do not use your first morning urine. Test between 11am-2pm starting on CD 10/11. I, personally, tested 2x a day...11am & 11pm...

If you get a :) have Chat Icon that day and the following 3 days...
the :) indicates you WILL be ovulating within the next 12-36 hours...sperm needs to be in the fallopian tubes to greet your egg and conception needs to take place within a 12 hour period...

Good Luck!!!

Thanks Ladies!

I unfortunately already bought the strips you dip for the first month, but will look into the others for the following months.
