Organic jarred baby food...
Which brand do you use?
Also, do any of you make some of the foods yourself and use jarred for other?
Thanks!

This is what I plan on doing. I think I am going to use Earth's best for anything I can't/don't make.

That was my plan - to go with Earth's Best. I wonder if they transition ok between jarred and homemade though - I would think so. I feel guilty but I don't think I'm capable of doing all homemade. How much more money is organic than regular jarred?

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
I used Earth's Best... if you can get it in bulk it's cheaper (Costco, BJs, even BRU sometimes sells it in bulk).
I was never able to buy in bulk because there was always one type in the bulk package that my DD couldn't eat, but the price was always better that way..

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
Earth's Best and sometimes i'll get Gerber Organic if it's on sale.
We give her some of our dinner mashed up or blended sometimes (potatoes, sweet potatoes, veggies, avocado, banana, etc). She loves everything, she doesn't care what it is or where it comes from!

So it's ok to change around brands of baby food, unlike formula?

Yes - it's ok to change around brands.
We just started doing food but, DH's cousin told me that her DS preferred the jarred food to anything she made.

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
I mix it up all the time. I'm in the UK so the brands are different, but when I was visiting, I gave DS EArths Best and Gerber organic.
I find it's good to have some jars on hand because often I'll make a big batch of something and DS isn't into it. It sometimes takes a few times before he'll eat certain things, so after trying a new dish that he doesn't like, I sometimes need to come with an alternative quickly. So much easier to open a jar than it is to defrost a whole new meal!

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
i like giving him Earth's Best - not necessarily bc they're organic, but because they have great combinations! Logan's current favorite is the chicken mango risotto.

me either Turkey Cranberry Chutney is another good one, and he REALLY loves the soups, too! Sweet Potato Cinnamon Bisque is actually really good, I tried it.

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
I made food from fresh organic fruits and veggies and sometimes the frozen one....
When I went out or traveled I brought the Earth's BEst - they have a ton of variety flavors.

I make my own, but also give Plum Organics and Revolution Foods. I LOVE the taste and the packaging...they come in squeezable packages that are so easy for on the go.

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
I made most of DS's food from organic fruits/veggies. I used to magic bullet and ice cube trays, so easy. I had some Earth's Best jars for when we were out and about and prunes b/c I didn't make those.

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
I use Organic jarred food and I use organc produce when I make DS baby food.
I like the brand Plum Organic food (in the pouches) and I like the Earth's Best and Gerber.
We are now introducing table food and for the most part I use organic veggies and fruit as much as possible.
When I was making his pureed food-he actually like the jarred food better. I would end up mixing the homemade food into his cereal, not to waste it.

Re: Organic jarred baby food...
For the few things I didn't make myself (such as prunes), I used Earth's Best. Charlie didn't have any issues 'transitioning' between homemade and jarred.

I did a mix of making my own & buying Earths Best jarred.
Made: sweet potato butternut squash peaches

DS did fine between the switching!

I used Earth's Best when we were out with DS. We made most of his food though we used jarred food for certain things like apples, carrots and peas.
