Organic Jarred Baby Food Users
Does anyone know who makes organic jarred peaches or apricots? Earth's Best doesn't, Gerber Organics doesn't. The ped wants him to start with these fruits, but I can't find organic! Help!
Thanks!

Have you done raspberries? Earth's Best has Peaches in a blend with bananas and raspberries. Also, they have a blend of sweet potato apricot (if you have already done sweet potato).
I found, with earth's best, that I tried most of the newer foods in blends, after trying all of the other ingredients first.

We've done sweet potato so I could do sweet potato/apricot but the doctor doesn't want him on bananas as of yet because he gets constipated easily. Same for apples because I did see mixes with apples but he doesn't want him on apples either.
Thanks!!!

Re: Organic Jarred Baby Food Users
With DS's allergies, I always used Earths Best or Gerber Organic. Then one day I accidently picked up Beech Nut peaches and gave it to him. There was absolutely no reaction to it at all. I asked my Pedi GI if it was ok to stop using all organic and switch to Beech Nut and she said most definitely. She recommends it to a lot of the parents because it is really gentle on the baby's systems. As always I read the labels and see if it has anything in it DS can't have. I now use beech Nut every day. No issues for DS at all.

See, I was reading the ingredients on the Beechnut as well as the Gerber NatureSelect because they did have peaches. There really wasn't anything in the ingredients besides peaches, water, and vitamin C, but I'm concerned about pesticides and stuff since it's not organic fruit. I don't know.

I hear ya. Unfortunately the brands that are all organic don't have a great selection. I am not good at making my own foods, so I choose Beech Nut. So far, so good. And it has been over a month. They have a great selection too...

I know I'll prob end up buying some for the fruits I can't find - I wonder which is "less bad" - the Beechnut or the Gerber Natureselect

I stay away from Gerber because DS has issues with it if it isn't organic...Now I am too afraid to try the Natureselect..

Thanks for letting me know about the Plum Organics - I was by BRU the other night - grrrr. Oh oh - now I'm scared - I bought Gerber Organics for DS for the green beans.

Re: Organic Jarred Baby Food Users
So far just the regular Gerber foods. He is fine with Beech Nut. I haven't tried any other regular baby food yet. I don't know if I will either. I like to stick with what works. The poor kid has enough issues with his belly.

Re: Organic Jarred Baby Food Users
Its tough on them, but my son is thriving. It will just take longer for him to start table foods. On top of the allergies and reflux, he has a REALLY sensitive gag reflex...He was sucking on a dairy and soy free teething biscuit a couple of weeks ago and got off 2 teeny, tiny pieces. He gagged so hard on them that he puked all over...Threw them out. And he really liked them... I found Organic puffs at BRU that are dairy and soy free too. We are doing pieces of them every couple of days...

Try PLUM organics brand. They are the ones that come in the pouch. BRU had them on sale 10 for $10 yesterday

I would just buy organic fruit and make it! ITA. They are both very easy to make as well. You could always make in bulk & freeze some.

Re: Organic Jarred Baby Food Users
how about beechnut??
im pretty sure they do peaches alone. whether its organic or not, i dont know..but I cant be too sure that anything that is sold as organic is truly that anyway. I use Earths best alot, but even then..who knows.
