Organic vs DHA Gerber baby food

I'm so confused. I plan on making DD's baby food when the time comes with organic fruits & veggies, but also have coupons for the Gerber organic veggies too. But as I was reading the Gerber booklet, I notice they also sell baby foods with DHA added to it for brain/eye development-- but this isn't organic and the organic doesn't say it has DHA in it (which I'm guessing it wouldn't have in it b/c it's organic). So I'm torn-- I know DHA is supposedly sooo good for babies, but I wanted to try to do homemade and organic.

Anyone have any advice/input on this, esp. moms who make their own food and/or feed organic?

I believe there are loads of foods that contain DHA. I believe in order to get the DHA in the food they add omega 3 or fish oil. maybe you can look into just adding that into the food. (of course you would have to experiment because you don't want the food to taste fishy.

i just started solids and i'm making them all. i'm following the super baby food diet and using organics. i'm not too worried about DHA because i breastfeed and take my prenatal with fish oil everyday. for me the organics is more important. i know there will be plenty of food in their lifetime that isn't organic but if i can limit the amount of bad stuff i will try to!

I use organic over DHA as the evidence on DHA still doesnt prove it helps in any way yet ....its just preliminary and I prefer the idea of fresh organic fruits and or veggies and meats,.
