Organizing and lining up food?
DS does this occasionally and I am just wondering if anyone else's DC does this. He occasionally does it with his toys as well. He'll line up his cars and trucks but he knows how to play with them the "right" way so I never payed much attention. I notice now he occasionally lines up his food on his tray...like today for lunch I cute him up apple slices and he lined them up and ate them one by one. He doesnt do it all the time or with all his food, just certain things

My DS doesn't do it, but I do and I'm perfectly fine (most of the time )

as long as he plays the right way i wouldn't worry about it. he's just finding a way to organize his stuff.
He doesnt always line them up exactly, sometime it's more like he groups things together.

I think it shows that he's smart. If he HAS to have everything like that ALL the time then maybe I would question it.

Totally normal- it's his way of *categorizing* items and is a developmental skill.
