Orly's Treehouse?
Anyone ever go there? How do you like it? It seems kind of expensive for a Mommy and Me type class- wondering if its worth it.

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
The website says that to use the indoor playground it's $12, but you can buy 10 for $100. The classes are very expensive and I live in Queens, but I plan to add this to my list of indoor places to go in the winter.

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
I might check out the open house before I sign up again for Gymboree this Fall (which starts this week). Question though- Can you just pay $10 to go to the indoor playground on any given day or do you have to be enrolled in a class?

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
It's seems like you can just get the passes without being a member or taking a class.

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
Read an article on it and it seems like a wonderful, long time needed concept. Too bad it is too far for me to travel.

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
So...Did anyone go to the Open House? We went, but after the 11am madhouse!!! It was apparently CRAZY in there!!!! We got a nice guided tour of the soon-to-be Treehouse, it's still a wreck, hard to believe it will be ready by 9/18! I signed up Alex for "Go Baby Go", it sounded cute, now that she's crawling & won't stay still, I thought she'd enjoy it better than music. It actually winds up not being that much more than Gymboree (only $25 more to be exact), so I figured I'd give it a shot- why not w/ all the other amenities they have to offer as well (exercise classes, babysitting, spa, etc..) It's a cool concept, so we'll try it for the fall. I was a little disappointed w/ the size of the "Indoor Playground", and it's really geared towards toddlers, not babies (they have a much smaller room for babies to play). They make it sound like such a monstrosity on the web. I was also not pleased that all the kids & parents were running around the playground w/ their shoes on. At Gymboree & other indoor paly areas I've been to, shoes must be off & clean socks must be worn. The girl assured me that there would be cubbies & shoes would be off when they opened, but what's the point? They just installed all this new carpet & now it's already dirty from the Open House this week? Go figure. I guess I'm just a germophobe. The cafe I thought was smaller than what I had hoped too, but it's still cute for before or after a class. So the place had pros & cons, definetly more pros though. It really is a unique concept that I wish I had thought of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
I went around 12:30 and it wasnt that crowded either. I cant believe how much construction needs to be done before it opens. My son loved the playground, he is 15 months old and can play in either the treehouse area or the toddler area which is age restricted. I like that there is a seperate age section. You are definately right about the shoes, they told me that every toy will be cleaned everyday which I find hard to believe.(former germaphobe) I was too a little dissapointed about the size of the playground, but my son enjoyed it and we did sign up for the little discoveries science class. I am so excited!!!

Re: Orly's Treehouse?
I went there around 3:00 with a friend of mine and her son. I agree-- it looked like a construction-site but they assured us that the only things they are waiting to complete are the moldings & the cafe. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that I was a little disappointed in the size of the playground as well. Also, the sizes of the rooms seemed small to me too. Being the neat-freak that I am, I was baffled that everyone was playing with their shoes on as well. Regardless of all of that, it's definitely a great place with what I hope are great classes to take my daughter to. I think once it's up and running, all of the minor details will get worked out. I'm still contemplating which class to sign up for...but, I definitely plan on taking one this fall.
