OTC heartburn meds NOT working?
what now? I am taking Zantac150 and 4-6 hours later, heartburn is back! I cannot take it more often than every 12 hours.
Is anyone on anything prescribed? I had bad HB with my son but zantac150 every 12 hours worked like a charm.
 Will ask at my OB appt on Thursday just wondering if there is hope. The next 5 weeks will be rough

Do you take tums, too? Ttums don't provide long term relief, but they help you get through the immediate onset until you can take something else or it passes.

a friend of mine tried the prescriptions, tums etc and swears by a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar diluted into a glass of water. i havent tried it yet but if you are desperate give it a shot...she did warn that it is not the best tasting

Nexium helped me for the reflux but I had to take it half hour before eating or it was worthless. Luckily the problem went aaway as soon as I gave birth!

my aunt mentioned this too - i thought she was nuts but maybe I will try it. I assume apple cider vinegar is safe but Ill ask on Thursday just in case.

no, they were worthless with my first pregnancy but maybe i should give them a shot again - during the inbetween.

I've noticed this happening too! I get heartburn and I think to myself, wait a minute I only took the zantac a few hours ago.
They must be hairy little ladies
