Ouch!

So im 2 weeks pp of a c- section..

My pain been pretty much gone... I only need 6 staples...I didnt even need the "tape" after the took the staples out, and you could barely see a scar..

Anyways- the past 2 days ( Ive been really overdoing it) and I started feeling pain to the left of my incision.. Today I showed DH and he said it starting looking like I broke the scab...

Well an hour or so later its bleeding and it had a little puss... I guess I reopend the one end...

Its really small, and its not alot of blood...but I was still worried so I had the oncall Dr paged (which wasnt even someone who works in my dr.'s office...

He said to clean it with soap and water and put a little bandaid on it...and if I wanted some neosporin... He said he doubts theres an infection, for it usually develops in the beg. no at 2 week pp..

So I did this..but Im calling my DR tomorrow...

PLEASE someone tell me this happen to them... Id hate to have an infection or them to restitch this side..

Don't freak out but it can happen. The doctor usually will sew the incision back up in two layer so don't worry about having anything pop out.

They only time they will reopen the incision is if you develop hematomas (spelling) or an infection. I had to have my entire incision reopened a few days after coming home from the hospital.

They didn't restitch it, I had to have a nurse come and pack the incision with gauze 2x per day for about one month. This kind of complication is unusual!!

Just keep an eye on it and if you see any fluid / pus start to leak from the opening, go to your doctor's to have it checked out.

After I had my staples out I got the butterfly bandages over the incision. When I was walking up the stairs (3rd day home) I felt a pulling and I had opened the left part of the incision, and it bled a little. I was ok I just kept it clean and didnt have to do anything special it healed back up just a little slow then the rest of the scar.

Honestly though you REALLY have to try not to overdo it for the first 6 weeks so that your body has time to properly heal.
