OUCH!!
i fell off the wagon!! Lost 10 pounds in about 6 weeks and then messed the whole thing up... Had a few special occassions back to back and WW went out the window....i was doing so good!!!.... i havent gotten on the scale but it's been 2 weeks of binging so i know I must have gained most of it back... I've been tryng to get back on track, but i'm finding it so hard to get back in the frame of mind of weighing, measuring, and tracking... I haven't gone to meetings bc i'm ashamed that the number on the scale will show that i gained the weight back...please help... i really want this.... DH and I are going to start TTC soon and I really want to lose about 20 pounds before we do... why can't i do this???

Re: OUCH!!
I am in the same boat. I am trying hard but I still have about 20 pounds to lose before I want to ttc but it is not coming off.
I say, put the weight gain behind you. You can't undo it magically if it never happened. so OK, you gained 10 pounds. no big deal. You just have to get into the mindset that now you are starting over and on this fresh start you are going to be serious again. This is why people say lifestyle and not diet, because if you ever stop watching what you eat, or stop exercising the weight piles on.
I used to be 100 pounds. No one ever told me in college any good advice. I am quite a few years from my college days now, but I have been 40 pounds heavier and I felt like the weight came out of nowhere. I now have a little over 25 pounds to lose to get back to my "perfect" self but... it is a constant struggle without results yet... but you can't let setbacks get to you. i tell myself at least I am maintaining and not gaining. If I were to stop, how heavy would I be?
It is hard. But... You can do it!!! Good Luck!!

Re: OUCH!!
Give yourself a break and get back on the wagon! Do not worry about the past few weeks. Start fresh and give yourself a week of healthy eating before you step on the scale.

Re: OUCH!!
i know it is so hard to get back on the wagon once you've been off for a week or so. i've definitely been there! push yourself to get to the gym and start WW again. i know easier said than done, but just getting to the gym again you'll feel great and want to continue with the weight loss.

Re: OUCH!!
Thanks for the boost ladies.... I know I have to get myself back to a WW meeting because that will symbolize the start for me... i just have to get over that initial embarrassment of hearing the receptionist tell me how much weight I gained... I will go to my Saturday morning meeting and that will be my new start... thanks again ladies!

Yes, I do this too so that I'm confident that the number on the scale doesn't reflect water weight. Then you know your true starting point and you can go on from there.

The receptionist won't tell you how much you gained. In fact, she shouldn't say a thing, and should just give you your sticker.
There's nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. MOST of the people in the meetings have been there before, and MOST of them have left, gained weight, and come back, including staff members.
Think of the alternative - what will happen if you continue to wait to join until you lose weight? Chances are the number will just keep going up.

Re: OUCH!!
I could have written this post myself. I am on week "7" of WW and I took a WW vacation for 2 weeks. So really it's like I am on week 5. It was terrifying to get on the scale but you HAVE TO DO IT! At 7 weeks I am down 5.8 lbs which is what some people lose their first 2 weeks. It sucks, it truly sucks to fall off the bandwagon but getting back on is what is most important. When I read the posts of how much people have lost at 7 weeks I feel so bad thinking "that could be me, it should be me" but unfortunately it wasnt. Tommorrow will be my first weigh in after going back last Friday. Even if it's -1 lb I will be happy bc I went back. GL and trust me I understand where you are coming from.
