Our backyard prior to grading & after (pics)
We had our entire property (well the back/sides) graded to avoid the slope towards the house & they ripped out the old cement patio/dog pen in the back. DH has since been quite busy the last week spreading dirt, fertilizing, watering & planting grass seed. Here's some pics.

No more patio...
It was well worth it. He had a larger bobcat & really worked all day.
I'm just so thankful DH is so handy w/ everything...he just made new screens for the basement windows until we get new windows next year.
He's also working on building his own smoker BBQ, but that'll be a whole 'nother post

Basically we didn't need soil, he said what we had was fine. We may get some from them. They were based in E. Setauket. I don't have his number handy. It was 20. per yard I believe.

wow Cindy that is a big project. We have to do the same thing, but not as much yard. Gee, I just can't wait to start ours.  I think we will start regrading this weekend. Saturday is going to be beautiful. Can't wait to see all the new grass come in. It should be beautiful!

Thanks for posting this, Cindy! I was waiting to hear how it went for you before I gave them a call! Now that I see the work they did, I can't wait to start our project!
