Our Daughter Arrived Early 8/26/2010
Wow.... I can't believe when I least expected our daughter arrived....
It all begins on Thursday 8/26/2010....when I woke up ....feeling something is not right ! I feel so much pressure on my pelvic bone and it feels like I have to urinate every five minutes...I thought it was just me and the baby just moved to a different position....Wow....I was so wrong....I went shopping with my mom and my aunt the whole day.....waited until my hubby came home.....Then told him that I feel so much pressure and by 5 pm my stomach was hard as a rock every fifteen minutes ( I thought this was just Braxton Hicks Contractions) . Hubby and I decided to go out to dinner and we did. By 7pm we came home and took a bath. By 8pm I feel like someone was throwing a ton of bricks on me....I told hubby to call the doctor. He told me if I keep feeling like this every 8 minutes then go to the hospital..
By 10:30pm we went to L & D. The doctor checked me and told me my cervix was closed and I am not dilating so he send me home by 12:00 am. Hubby and I went home.... Hubby went to sleep because he had to work the next day. I went to the bathroom and by this time....I started to feel the pain and the pressure again. It hurts so much ! I started to walk around my house and the contractions was getting worse and worse. I called my mom and my aunt so they can come over.....and they did....From 12:30 am - 4:30 am I keep on getting these pains every five minutes and the only thing that was relieving is for me to urinate....I peed constantly....and by 5:00 am I started to bleed....UH OH ! I woke up hubby and all of us went to L & D. The ride to L & D was horrible (it only took us 10 minutes to get to hospital). When I get there I couldn't even walk...I had to be put on the wheelchair...The pain was unbearable.
The nurses and the doctor checked me at 5:30am and guess what ? I was 4cm dilated...Wow ! I was so surprised ! I told the nurse to call my OB. He was there in 10 minutes and he said...Yup ! You're having a baby ! DH was so surprised since our due date was 9/12/2010 which will make her two weeks early. They asked if I wanted an epidural....I said Heck Yea ! Anything to make these pains go away. by 7:00 am they transferred me to birthing room and by 8am I get an epidural. Thank God for this miracle drug ! afterward, I didn't feel a thing ....I was so happy. Chatting away with my mom and aunt and hubby.
My doctor checked me at 9am and no progress so he started me on pitocin. After pitocin was pushed in, I started to feel more and more contractions...By 2pm I was 7 cm dilated....but from 7cm to 9 cm ....It took me forever to get there !Even at one point, the nurses give me oxygen to breathe because our baby heartrate was dropping...Hubby and I were so scared....
By 3:45 pm....I told them I couldn't wait anymore and the contractions are feeling worse and worse....It felt like thousands of bricks were dropping on me.....They said the baby's head is right there so just wait another 15 minutes and we can push...I was like what ? those 15 minutes took forever.....
Finally at 4:00 pm.....they told me to push. My mom, my aunt and my hubby were all in the room waiting....for our daughter arrival. All I can hear was Push PUsh PUsh ! Even my hubby was like come on Push BABY ! He was holding my leg on one side and my mom was holding my other leg on the other side.....lol ! Finally at 4:18 pm, our beautiful  arrived....
DH & MOMMY & AUntie were in tears....
We decided to name her
Leah Marie
Weight : 6lbs 5oz
Length : 19.5 inches..
she has so much hair !
We love her so much already ! I never knew how much love we can love this tiny person !

Awwwww!! What a great story!! So happy for you Viv!! And what a beautiful FYI we are naming our daughter Leah also!
