Our nursery is already carpeted, so is it pointless to put a rug in it?

Our little girl's nursery is coming together nicely, but I really want to "warm it up" by putting a colorful rug in it. There is already off white carpeting throughout the room, so is it pointless to put a rug on top of that?

Well maybe in front of the crib....try that.
Like a small area rug.

Not at all! I love pretty area rugs over carpeting. Also, if its near to your changing area its great, avoids shooting poo and wee wee from staining your carpet!!

I love the look of a coordinating area rug. DH & I are looking at round rugs right now (ones that we can wash in the machine). I think it adds a nice finishing touch.

A coordinated little rug to your color theme would be a nice touch.

I think that the rug near the crib would look nice. Plus, as the baby gets older I am sure that things come flying out of the crib - the rug will protect that are which might need it most (also for standing over the crib in that one spot - cut down on the wear and tear - so now we also have a practical reason!!
