Our Superintendents Day
I teach on Long Island . The district I am in is known as a poor perfoming district. well today they did something that deserves applause  .
Our keynote speaker was Erin Gruwell. If you dont know her she was the teacher that Hillary Swank portrayed in the 2007 movie Freedom Writers. Erin had me in tears today. She is an outstanding worman. She also brought one of her students with her. I just wanted to pass this along. I plan to rent the movie this weekend.
