our updates

the good: after a month of waiting, i finally found an slp on my own at the place my ds gets ot and pt. wellll, 2 hours later my service coordinator calls to tell me she got me a new slp. i don't have a new schedule yet and we don't meet her till next week but i just hope she's got a clue about sensory motor issues/feeding (unlike my current slp)

the overwhelming: since my ds's vomiting has gotten so bad and all the tests show nothing we are going through more tests and more dr.s'.

next week we have an appointment with an allergy specialist.

the next week: with an ENT

the next week: a stomach sonogram with the GI

the next week: a brain mri (i'm so nervous about them putting josh under.)

and then i have baby boy #2!

WOW. You are going to be a busy girl. And right before the baby!!!

Hopefully the SLP will be a good one this time.

As far as all his test, I know it will be hard but you know you need to get some answers. Poor DS! It will be a bit tough on him but it will be OK.

I haven't really followed your sons story fully but I know you mentioned he throws up alot. Maybe this isn't a sensory issue and allergy related? I only say this because I have a good friend whose son is allergic to basically every food out there and he responds by throwing it up. Could be minutes later or even sometimes it's a delayed reaction.

It took so long to find out what the problem was, she went to many doctors and specialists and after months they finally figured out what it was!

Again, just wanted to throw this out there - not sure if there is more besdies the throwing up that I didn't read here!

Good luck with it - it must be very frustrating especially when you are about to give birth!
