Our vacation is turning into a nightmare!
Scott and I are suppose to go to MExico August 11th and due to the hurricane our resort is closed until Oct. 15th. My parents were in Mexico when the hurricane hit and the travel agent was absolutely use;ess and gave my sister an attitude when we called her to get info. for my parents.
We went down to talk to her on Friday and she told us our resort would be up and running on Monday. Needless to say I called myself to day and they told me the resort will be closed until Oct. 15th. MOst of the resorts around the area are closed or booked due to people maying other arrangements. Of course we will be refunded the money from the resort but not the airlines. Whether we cancel altogether or transfer tickets to another location we lose money. And the $120 we paid for insurance...absolutely useless. The travel agent is so unhelpful, I am doing my own research.
Sorry....I needed to vent.

that stinks! i can't believe the insurance isn't helping!!! you should book another trip though...maybe a cruise somewhere where there won't be hurricanes? we had a blast on our cruise last year!

Bri and Bri just left for a cruise. Their honeymoon was ruined by the hurricane. They came home early. Try a cruise.

Ahhh take some Dramamine and **** it up scott 
No really those boats are so big you barely feel it unless its really bad and then they will give you a shot and youll be back to normal!
