Our wood floors are getting done today

We havent moved in the house yet, but we are getting our floors done this week. I have some questions.

How messy is the sanding?
How long does it take to dry?
How long does the smell last? The last coat is going on Thurssday we want to be in this weekend and sleep there Sunday. Will the smell be gone for my 5.5 month old and dog?

we lived in the house when they did the floors. The smell is not favorable but since its nice out now you can at least open the windows (we did it in November) i would do whatever your floor guy recommends. We waited four days to put furniture on the floors. But we did walk with socks on during that time.

You should be fine to move in this weekend if the last coat goes on Thursday. Ask the floor guys, of course, to be sure, but you should be fine. By Sunday, there won't be any more smell. Open the windows to air the house out while you're moving stuff if you still smell it on Saturday.
