outdoor or indoor play area for active toddler

My son will be 14 months tomorrow (WHAT?!?) he's super active and constantly climbing the furniture. I take him out to parks, i let him play in the grass but I need to find something...either for our backyard or basement he can SAFELY climb and burn some of that energy. We don't have much to spend and don't have a big backyard but could fit something small to medium sized. without using up the whole backyard. Any recommendations?

Gymboree works well.

It's not cheap... But neither is a swing set and you don't need to keep it in your yard.

Open play is great if you are a SAHM.

I agree with Gymboree. It's a bit pricey but you can go to your once a week class and also go to open gym every day

smithhaven mall has an inclosed play area for young children that is pretty nice. It's very clean and requires you to take your shoes off an put them in provided cubbies.
