Outdoor Patio Furniture
What kind of material do you have - metal, wood, etc? What do prefer?

Re: Outdoor Patio Furniture
We have our eye on a really nice wood set. Last summer was our first in the house and we didn't get around to getting a set.
I am anxious about those glass-topped tables. I know they are supposed to be very sturdy but I'd have more peace of mind knowing that the top wasn't going to shatter.

Re: Outdoor Patio Furniture
we have 2 sets. 1 is wrought iron (oval table, 6 chairs and an umbrella) the other is aluminum (rectangle table, 6 chairs, 2 chaise lounges, 2 reclining chairs). we keep the wrought iron set on the patio and the aluminum up near the pool.

very nice!
Once our deck is completed I want to get a teak wood set. I already have a teak wood swing that my DH got me as a birthday/wedding gift

Re: Outdoor Patio Furniture
i would advise shopping now as prices are low. once spring comes the prices go WAY up. we bought our aluminum set in august and got a great deal.
check out fortunoffs backyard store in smithtown/lake grove. craigs list is a great resource as well (that is where we found our wrought iron set).

we did the same thing. we bought ours 2 years ago at the end of the summer from the fortunoff clearance center right roosevelt field. it was brand new still in the original boxes, but we got a really good deal since it was the end of the season. i think ours is aluminum and it has a glass top. i like it because it is easy to clean.
