Outer Banks, NC
Anyone ever been? DH and I might look to move to NC in the next two years and thought it would be nice to vacation down there to get a feel for the area.
What things are there to do?? Where to stay?? Any help is appreciated!!!
TIA!

Re: Outer Banks, NC
I rented a house for a week with 4 other families this past July. Such a nice relaxing place. We mostly did the beach and the pool...we went with 10 adults and 8 kids most which were 3 and under.
In Waves there isn't much going on - long drives to restaurants even - nice place to kick back and relax.
Hereis the house we rented ... http://www.outerbeaches.com/tranqui02_d?sid={C0E6C09E-05B7-4BFF-8940-EF998E4439A1}

Re: Outer Banks, NC
We went the last week of August/first week of September. We rented a house with 3 other couples and their kids. We had a lot of fun and mostly did the beach/pool thing. My DD, DH and I went to Kitty Hawk, but none of the other couples did any outside touring. Believe it or not, we have already booked a house for next summer and we plan on visiting Roanoake settlement as well as some lighthouses. It was a really nice trip!

Re: Outer Banks, NC
I am so glad to see this thread! I wanted to ask about the Outer Banks as well since I have heard alot of people mention what a nice trip it is, and all have been families sharing a house. We have been doing Fire Island but his would be a nice change.

Did you go through a realtor? What area did you stay in?
Thanks!

We stayed in Corolla. Here's the link to the rental company...
Outer Banks rentals
I understand they book up pretty quickly, especially if you are looking for oceanfront which is why we're already reserved!

Re: Outer Banks, NC
We rented a house there for a week with 4 other couples 2 years ago. That's where we got engaged. We loved it. The house was gorgeous - right on the beach and had a pool. I think the house was in the Corolla/Duck area. As far as what there was to do, we hung out at the pool or beach during the day and went out to dinner many nights or cooked at home. We loved it - I want to go back there!!

Re: Outer Banks, NC
we went there years ago with my ex's family. We use to rent a house for 12 people right by the beach! It was great. You could walk to the beach & to town. It was most spending days on the beach & pool!
We used this realty Karichele Realty
