Outfit advise needed for photo shoot - petiskirt/tutu?

I am having the kids photos taken (by our very own Lori ) in a couple of weeks and would LOVE your opinion on what they should wear.

Ella will be 6 months
Luke will be 2

A couple of things: This will be Ella's first prof photo shoot. She isn't sitting up really yet. We will shoot them together and then seperately (I plan on changing them).

So for them together I wanted them to coordinate a bit, but not too matchy matchy. I was thinking a sweater dress for Ella. And a button-down shirt with jeans or khakis for Ella.

For Luke by himself probably a sweater vest and jeans.

The big question is for Ella alone. I have these fancy pants with her name embroidered on them. I was thinking that, should she wear a tutu or pettiskirt with it? I wouldn't have her wear anything on top. I was thinking one of those crochet hats or headbands with a big pretty flower. Then maybe some of her in a pretty dress. I was thinking not a pettiskirt until her one year photo (I love the red one Lori uses sometimes and thought I could pair it with a black bodysuit with a bedazzled "E" on it). If I plan on doing that, the red pettiskirt at her 1 year, would it be too much to get her a pretty pink tutu for her six month shoot?

Shes little so I would do the tutu..a cute pink one.
I found one and got it at Marshalls for $10.
For Yr old shoot- pettiskirt :)
Its cute cause she might be standing at that point and have cute shoes on.

You can see my DD had the pettiskirt shoot done...in my album.

Look at that Bella Me childrens boutique that is a new vendor...

I was on there earlier and they have some gorgeous stuff for baby girls...

I think a pink tutu is cute. You have a limited time to dress them in the cute, adorable things you want versus when they have their own opinion.

Also while she's not sitting up, if she's able to grab on, you can have her "stand" while you hold her fingers.

I think a tutu would be adorable and perfect. You could probably find a really cool headband or hat on etsy
