Overfeeding a baby?
Can you overfeed a newborn/infant? My DD is almost 1 month. Today, she ate a lot, but she also spit up a lot. I know sometimes infants go through growth spurts, but I feel like often when she seems much hungrier than usual and I feed her, she ends up spitting most of it out. Is there a way to regulate the amount she is eating so she doesn't eat too much? I was thinking of giving her a pacifier after she eats what seems like a reasonable amount and seeing if she takes it.

Yes, you can. I did. They will projectile vomit when you do. For me, I was misreading cues that he was tired for hunger cues.
The Baby Whisperer helped me to recognize the signs.
