overnight on Long Island or close by

Hi I am looking to do a day trip/overnight with my hubby for our anniversary in September ~ Any recommendations?

There are lots of Long Island options depending on what you're looking for:

- Eastwind Hotel in Wading River is a great hotel spa with wineries close by and a water park.

- Danfords Hotel in Port Jefferson offers beautiful waterviews in the village with quaint shops and a number of restaurant options.

Other towns include Greenport and Montauk which are both further east.

Others may have more input - tell us more about what you're looking for.

Check out the Hampton Maid. It's borderline Hampton Bays/Southampton. It's cute and has a yummy breakfast restaurant attached.
Shelter Island would be very nice as well.

Thank you so much ~ I am looking to go out east ~ overnight ~ but I noticed a bunch of places had to have two night bookings on the weekend so I need a place that I can book for one night (I only have a babysitter for my ds for one night)

I was thinking the east wind. I will definately check out the Hampton Maid
