Overprotective about your bump..to the point of concern? a psychological thing?
I forgot I had this issue last time, until DH pointed it out to me.
I hate anyone touching my belly without me knowing it's going to happen, or anything touching my belly, or if DS pokes me there, etc.
If DH goes to give baby a loving pat, I knock his hand away and yell....I can't help it.
I just don't like it. Even if I graze my belly into anything, it freaks me out.
Anyone else like this?

I usually don't mind, but I just don't want random people touching my stomach. I'd rather they ask first. I think to me I find it more violating of my personal space than anything else.

I absolutely love when my husband rubs my belly. The other day he kissed it and it was so adorable. I don't like when strangers try to touch my bump but otherwise I like it/dont mind it. Everyone is different though.

i was the same way! people at work would come up to me and pat my stomach without even asking me or giving me warning... i would freak!
i also had a few situations where things bumped into my stomach & i freaked... i think i was WAY over paranoid about it... at my BIL's wedding, the bridal party was taken to the picture area on a golf cart & i insisted i NOT sit in the very back b/c i was afraid of the bumps being too rough for me

You would have lost it then with what happened to me the other day
I was leaving a bagel store and a woman ( senior citizenish, but a little odd looking) stopped to compliment my DD..She asked if she was my 1st and I said, no actually my 2nd and 1 on the way...
She rips open my coat, kneels down and KISSED my belly (all while God blessing me etc..)
It all happened SO fast, I honestly did not know what to think or do....I quickly uttered Happy Holidays and jetted out of there like lightning ! It was really awkward because its not like she was not being "sweet" , but it was just so awkward and wierd...
Even my DD ( not quite 2) caught that it was innappropriate and odd sayong "Mommy, that lady kiss you baby in you belly ???"
I don't know what gives people the impression that pregnant women are open to the public
As far as my DH, close family or friends, no it doesn't bother me at all though...

With DH I don't care - I do give him looks if he does it while I am trying to get dressed or something But for other people, I want them to ask not just assume. I had a close friend here last night and she asked and then kept saying are you sure - I appreciated that

I am not an overly touchy person, so I don't really like it when anyone touches my belly other than DH. I don't have enough of a belly for strangers yet, but the idea of strangers coming up to me and touching my belly completely freaks me out. My mom got me this as a joke, I thought it was hysterical.

With DH and people I know I dont mind but I dont want strangers touching me. And I am paranoid that someone is going to bump into me t work - i work in a crowded HS.

I don't mind when DH touches my belly, he does it often. Or even close friends if they feel the urge lol. But I cannot stand when co-workers come up and feel the need to rub me like I'm a genie. And what's really annoying is that at 16 weeks I don't even HAVE a belly yet for them to rub so it kind of aggravates me further. I'm not at the point of strangers knowing I'm even preg yet, but I can see myself getting pretty annoyed if some random person touched me.

I don't like strangers touching me, but I have no problem with DH touching my belly. I also don't have an issues with DC climbing all over me. Sometimes they will say hi to the baby, and kiss or hug my belly, lol. I think its cute. It also doesn't bother me if I bump into or brush up against anything.
