Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
There are just so many brands and types to choose from.
Obviously safety is #1.
I don't mind heavy, but I do want easy to use & easy to fold.
Durable too, I hope to do a lot of walking. (Maybe when peanut gets older I will get a jogger too!)

my sis sent me the consumer report on strollers, so i used that to pick one and then did a review check on BRU.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
I checked out consumer reports, did a search on here and then went to the store. I knew what I was looking for (fully recline, lightweight, etc). As we were looking there was another couple with 2 kids looking for a new stroller, when the sales woman was done with them she saw us "trying out" a few and came over, the couple before us was on the market for a new one because theirs "fell apart" it happened to be one we were looking at. So the sales person took us through a few and we settled on Peg Perego Centro stroller.
It was tough we went 2x to look at strollers, the first time I had a break down because there were just too many.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
I did some online research and took by best friend shopping with me (she has 2 kids 1 & 2) and also decided on the Peg Perego Centro in Toffee.
If you like that one Target.com had the best price & no shipping cost. I didn't put it on my registry because it is a gift from my parents.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
We had been looking at the stollers, and we went to BRU to look at some. When we were looking at them, a person working there came over, who was very knowledgeable and said that since we are most likely going to have a big baby bc we are both tall, we would want a travel system that would hold more weight etc.
She helped us narrow it down to 2 choices for what would be best for us, and we decided from that.
We are going with the Chicco travel system.

The sales person, by far was the most helpful. In both BRU and BBB.

I actually had one picked out but when I went to the Expo I changed my mind. I saw the Chicco's and when they demonstrated the stroller and car seat I decided it was the one for me.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
The first most important lesson to learn is that you will not find one perfect stroller for all uses.
Second, there are a heck of a lot more good brands out there than you'll see in Consumer Reports, BBB, or BRU.
This web site has really, really helpful reviews: http://strollers.baby-gaga.com/reviews/strollers.php

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
I looked at recommendations in Baby Bargains and then went to BRU to try out different brands. I mainly chose between models that were pretty lightweight, since I will be lifting it in and out of the car so much.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
I had a really tough time deciding. I eventually registered for one and ended up returning it.
I really wanted the bugaboo (I love the way they look) and I didn't care about the $$ but I heard it wasn't the most convienent for living in the suburbs...it was more of a city stroller. And I heard it was kind of a PITA to pull in and out of the car.
I wanted one that looked nice & folded easily. I didn't care much about the weight either. I registered for the Peg Perego Centro, got it, but then I saw the Bumbleride I fell in love
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bumbleride!!! And it folds down soooo easily!! It has the reversable handle bar too which I wanted so it looks kinda like a pram too. I'd reccomend it all the way!!
eta: i also have the snap and go for quick trips and a jogging stroller

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
I looked at consumer reports, baby bargains, researched on here and then went to BRU and BBB to try them out. I knew I wanted a travel system and I needed the handlebar to be high enough for DH and I (I'm 5'9", he's 6').
DH really liked the Mutsy but it is a little pricey, and since I'll be giving birth in the winter I don't see myself walking around all that much. We also liked the Rock Star Baby but I didn't like how low it was - the bassinet part comes to my knees!
I thought I wanted a Peg Perego but I found it soooooo difficult to fold, and when I did finally get it folded it didn't look any smaller to me than it was when it was open. I wound up registering for the Graco Quattro Tour and a snap and go.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
Started w/ the recommendations in Baby Bargins, then did some internet research, then went to BBB. We're getting the Inglesina Zippy- it's light & folds w/ 1 hand. You can also buy a bassinet for it, which I like a lot.

Re: Overwhelmed....How did you decide on a stroller?
I just chose the one that I liked the look of...it was that simple. I don't believe that one stroller is "safer" than another, its all in how you use it.
