Ovidrel question
So, as you guys know...I'm new to this!
I have the Ovidrel, and was directed to administer this afternoon. DH is going to do it for me, since I'm a big chicken.
Any side effects with this stuff? Also, is this the one where you can't test until 10 days are up?
And is it crazy that I WANT to test just to finally see the word "pregnant", even though I know I'm not?
Sorry...that was like, 5 questions.

Re: Ovidrel question
The first 2 x I did it, i was a little quesy the next day or too and tired. But it doesn't happen to everyone.
Remember, don't POAS before 10 days, it should take that long to get out of your system. It's hard not too!

Re: Ovidrel question
I didn't have any side effects at all.
Also, I've done a bunch of different injectibles - and this is the easiest by far. I think it's a 29 gauge needle - which is super thin. Believe it or not - you won't even feel it. Just make sure he pinches the area before he injects.
Good Luck!

Same here. And I agree, you won't even feel it!
And yes, the trigger will stay in your system for up to 10 days.
G/L!

Re: Ovidrel question
I have had no side effects from Ovidrel. I actually gave myself the trigger yesterday and it was no big deal. It is a super thin needle.

Re: Ovidrel question
The only thing I noticed with Ovidrel was some fatigue during the TWW but nothing too bad.

Re: Ovidrel question
I've done Ovidrel 3 times already. It's a nice little 1/2" thin needle. Hopefully you have been shown how to use the syringe. Just be careful if you have air on top and you need to push the plunger slightly to push it out. Just go slowly so you don't worry about pushing out more than a drop. You'll be fine, don't worry.
I had no side effects, but when I O'd I felt it. sort of a little crampy for a few minutes. Much more than normal.
G/L...I'll be doing it again tonight for my IVF cycle.
If you go to RMA of NY's website they have patient resources and videos on how to administered any of the injectable meds. It's very helpful.

HAHA whoops--we just finished up!
I think it would have been a good idea to ice the area first--it did sting quite a bit! Oh well--live and learn!
