Ovulation after miscarriage
I had a natural miscarriage on Jan 27th. My re said I should wait at least one cycle then we can try again, however DH and I have not been safe. I thought it would take a while for me to O again since I have PCOS. Last night I noticed I had lots of EWCM and some cramps and I had one OPK left so I used it and it came up positive!
My question is if by chance I did conceive would it be bad? I mean they did say to wait one cycle for a reason. I don't want to risk any possibilty of miscarriage again and I know it's our fault we should of been more careful. Any advice would be great.

Re: Ovulation after miscarriage
How long were you pregnant? Was it a true miscarriage or a chemical?

I was pregnant for 6 weeks, it was a true miscarriage. I think it's called a missed abortion.

Re: Ovulation after miscarriage
there are lots of women that get PG no problem after a m/c. Some docs tell you to wait for emotional reasons. MY RE told me to wiat b/c it does increase the chance of another m/c.
But again you can go on PG and Parenting and there are many Moms that got PG this way, no problem.

Re: Ovulation after miscarriage
Then I'd go for it, but that's just me. As long as your beta is down...but I'm no doctor. My doctor told me after my chemical that I could try the very next cycle...but I don't know.

Thanks, I'm a little scared but it's a little to late to avoid since we haven't been careful.

Re: Ovulation after miscarriage
I have done a LOT of research on this. When you have a natural m/c it is basically similar to a period. Your lining 'should' not tjin very much. On the other hand with a D&C your lining is scraoped, unnaturally. I have read many times that there is no physical reason for waiting with a natural m/c-it is just superstition. And a concern on the Dr's part for dating the pregnancy. I have also been told this by 3 Dr's two RE's and my regular OB. GL!

Re: Ovulation after miscarriage
Spontaneous abortion..... your lining may be thinner than usual but with progesterone it can be built up. If you got a +, call your OB and see what s/he recommends - they may suggest progesterone.
Good lcuK!

This is a good idea, I should let my RE know just in case. Thanks!
