Ovulation Spotting?

I'm pretty sure I got ovulation spotting yesterday. Very light brownish discharge which was only lastnight and has gone away. I now have cramps. Did I potentially miss the period? Or should we try for next few days? I've been on Metformin for a few months and my body's finally starting to regulate.
