Re: Packing DS's stuff for vaca..

We went to Florida last month and I thought I WAY overpacked, but I didn't.

DS falls asleep in his boppy, so I brought that (carried it on in a canvas bag with my bjorn, security LOVED meChat Icon )

I literally had 3 outfits per day, but I was glad I did b/c the weather changed A LOT and the house was FREEZING from the AC.

Bring enough diapers plus a few more for the plane and buy when you get there, same goes for formula if you use it.

Do you go there a lot? If you do, and your DS would like it, maybe invest in a chair of some sort (a travel swing, bumbo or something) for him to sit in when he goes there. Buy it there and leave it there. We go to my parents house in Montauk a lot over the summer and we kept a travel swing there and it is nice to have.

I am no help. I am packing for Andrew and have over 3 outfits per day. We are going to Maine so it is hot during the day and cold at night so I had to bring both types of clothingChat Icon

I packed everything under the sun. I seriously can't even carry his suitcase. DH is going to kill meChat Icon

Re: Packing DS's stuff for vaca..

I already started a list at home for those "off-beat" things not to forget

bottle basket for dishwasher
shampoo
exersaucer
baby nail clipper
...?

we are going to my parents too so it's a little easier being in a home

See, things like shampoo, soap, etc, wouldn't bother me if I forgot them b/c you can always stop at a CVS or a grocery store to get some.

I use special organic soap for Andrew so they don't carry it in the stores. But otherwise it wouldn't bother meChat Icon

Re: Packing DS's stuff for vaca..

When I went away with DD before she was walking, I packed her Bumbo, and I'm glad I did. It really came in handy, for feeding her, and for just hanging out with her. I just put it in the suitcase and packed her clothes all inside it and around it (in the seat and in the little "nooks & crannies" underneath).
