Packing for a 3-day weekend
This is the first time we are taking Bella to my parents for the weekend. Before I pack everything and the kitchen sink, what are the "must brings" ?(besides the diapers and wipes of course )

Re: Packing for a 3-day weekend
I always found it was easier NOT to pack diapers/wipes/formula. Just pack clothes and enough of the other stuff to get you thru the trip there. I always buy a smaller pack of everything once we get where we're going b/c it saves room. But, usually thats for a longer trip!

Re: Packing for a 3-day weekend
Well, I keep my mother's house stocked with diapers, wipes, formula and pjs, so I never have to bring those things. I generally do not pack anything that I can run to the store and get. For example, I wouldn't pack tylenol or a thermometer or orajel because those are "if I need them" things. And "if I need them" I will run to the store and get them. I just pack lots of clothes and formula and two bottles. Maybe some cheerios, too.

Re: Packing for a 3-day weekend
All my family is on LI, so whenever we visit it's at least a 2-3 day trip We've lived up here for awhile, i've become quite the expert packer without overdoing it.
Personally, I don't like to do the what ifs and purchase things on LI cause it's much more expensive than I can get it for in CT.
For a weekend I pack 2 pjs tshirts socks 2-3 outfits Changing pad Diapers Wipes Lotions/soaps-travel sizes Washcloths Mylicon/tylenol/benadryl/Prevacid thermometer Formula Her crib toy for bedtime Blanket A couple toys Bibs Grooming set Bowl/Spoon
I don't pack food for her, like crackers, baby food etc. that i get down on LI or use what my parents/IL's have. My mom has a travel crib at her house too. I also don't overpack at all, just because, there's always a washing machine where i am going to be if i need to use it.
