Painful ovulation?
Ok, so last month (first month off BCP) I had a 45 day cycle. Around day 30, I started having cramping and bloating and thought I was getting AF, but she didn't show until 2 weeks later. So then I was thinking that I probably O'd around day 30-31 and have a 14 day LP. I read about painful ovulation - honestly mine feels even worse than AF - and its called mittleschmerz (sp?) and about 20% of women get it. Do any of you? Second question - so I am now on CD 31 today and I've had the crampy pain all day. If that's the case, then does that mean I'm ovulating today? Or that I O'd yesterday? I'm worried b/c we didn't BD yesterday but we did on Friday and Saturday...and we will tonight (already told DH LOL) and tomorrow night. Is that enough? Did I already miss it? I could kick myself for not doing it yesterday but we just got back from vacation and were exhausted... TIA!!

Re: Painful ovulation?
You could have had a cyst. I experienced bad pain around the time I would ovulate.

Re: Painful ovulation?
See this confuses me too. I had the cramping.. kind of like my period but milder around day 10.. but I did didn't get the eggwhite cm until day 15...?????? Sorry I have no answers.. I am just as confused. I couldn't find anything that said that the pain is the egg releasing or if it was a few days before?
ETA: but if it is the egg releasing then it lives for like a day inside in you so tonight should be fine.

Re: Painful ovulation?
I always got that and had no clue until I read the book- Taking Charge of your Fertility. It was clock work for me, I got it on day 13 this month (yesterday) so I am now officially in the 2 ww. Listen to your body and use that to your advantage. Good Luck!!

Re: Painful ovulation?
I have been feeling a discomfort around my OD for about a year now. When I went for my physical last year the doctor felt something and it turned out to be a tiny cyst. After further investigation there was 2. She said many women have cysts that come and go throughout their cycles....And many women do" feel" something when they Ovulate. XOXOXO Kitty

Re: Painful ovulation?
I DEFINITELY felt when I ovulated. This cycle was my second cycle with IUIs. last Friday I had a sonogram and was told to come in on Saturday for the IUI regardless of what the OPK said. Last Saturday morning, I still had not ovulated acording to the OPK and a second sonogram (I saw for myself). Later that evening, I felt pains on my right side. Last Sunday morning, I got a positive on the OPK, had a second IUI and when the post IUI sonogram was done, the doctor confirmed that I had ovulated and that I ovulated from the right side. I knew I wasnt making things up. I am hyper aware of my body since TTC.
