Paint Color Question...
One of my bedrooms has PINK carpeting. Very pink... Similar to the color below... I am currently using this bedroom as an office and I have dark cherry office furniture in there. Right now the walls are WHITE and I hate looking at white walls!
My question is... what color would you paint the walls???
I was thinking a greyish-purple color but I don't want to overwhelm the room w/ "girlie" colors... please help!!!
Thanks
This is similar to the color of the carpet...

Re: Paint Color Question...
I'd stay away from any more pink - How about something in a warm brown tone ?

ditto
stay away from yellows, purples, blues...otherwise it will look like an Easter room.

Re: Paint Color Question...
In would go with a brown tone also.
May I recommend Benjamin Moore's chabby chic or dellwood sand. I love those colors.

Re: Paint Color Question...
I agree with the brown family - Driftwood has a purpleish-pinkish undertone to it. It's definitely in the cocoa family...but with the undertones it might be nice with your bubblegum-pink rug!

Do you have a picture of your DR? I am considering Caramel Apple for my LR and wanted to see it "in person".

The crazy thing is that much to my husband's dismay, I *picked* out this pink carpet. We have 4 bedrooms and we carpeted the other 3 in "safe" neutral colors (we have hardwood floors in the rest of the house).
I am a real "girly-girl" and at the time was one day hoping to one day have a who could go into that bedroom. And I figured that even if I never had a that I could just use it as my office forever... or create a girly guest room out of it...

Re: Paint Color Question...
I would go with a light sage-green. My niece has the opposite (green carpet and pink walls) and it's is so pretty.

I was just going to suggest that. Our upstairs guest room was pink walls and carpet. We were going to paint the walls green and leave the carpet but I couldn't stand the color of the floor so we ripped up the carpet.

Re: Paint Color Question...
something neutral, like a stone gray or cream.
ETA: What kind of subfloor do you have? I just a saw a DIY episode where they saved money by painting the subfloor instead of putting in new carpet becasue they hated the old carpet and wanted something new but didn't have a big budget.
