Paint Color Recommendations
I am trying to pick a color for the wall next to the fireplace in the living room. I have been back and forth to the paint store so many times that now I get a discount, for once my indecisiveness has paid off.
I wanted to stay in the beige-brown family but if you have a better idea let me know. I am finding a lot of the beige colors take on a yellow or even a pink tone when they are next to the brick. I wanted to stay away from that.
I want the wall next to the fireplace to be one to two shades darker than the rest of the room. Any suggestions?

Re: Paint Color Recommendations
My fireplace is very similar. I call this a coffee color with a little bit of milk

Re: Paint Color Recommendations
Thanks so much for the suggestions .
Now that I see a room with a brick fireplace all one color I think i like that instead of having an accent wall. We are going to build a wood mantle around ours too.
I like the two tone because we have an open layout into our diningroom. I wanted to use the colors in there too. The darker color on the bottom of the chair rail and the light color on top .

Re: Paint Color Recommendations
hey there!! I'm all mixed up too!! I bought 9 (yes NINE ) benjamin moore samples yesterday for our front room, which has a brick wall.
here's some pics of the paint colors on our wall, let me know if you like one of them, I'll tell you the name of it.
up close of the brownish shades:
up close of the sage-ish shades
and PS......we're not going w/ any of these colors! I'm such a clown! 9 colors, and we decided we're going to go w/ something lighter so we can go darker in our living room without it looking like a rainbow! lol
hope this is helpful!!

Re: Paint Color Recommendations
I have similar colored brick in my fireplace. DH and I attempted to embrace our inner Color Splash ala HGTV and decided to do a brown wall for the fireplace and the rest of the walls in the living room, green. Here are two, not so great pics. They were taken last summer when we first painted them.

Can you tell me the names of those colors? We are in the process of choosing several paint colors and it's so hard!

I LOVE Sherwin Williams Beach House (7518). I painted my living room and hallway this color.
