Just wanted to get everyones thoughts - I am having a new stoop and walkway installed this month - I was thinking of maybe paiting the brick on the house - What do you think ??

What color would you suggest ?

Re: Painting Brick

IMO, I would NEVER paint any type of brick, especially the outside brick of my house.

I agree, I'm just not a fan of the look and the upkeep could be a PIA.

Ditto that! I love the way natural brick looks. It looks much homier to me than any other color.

ITA, plus paint will eventually peel and we all have seen bricks that have been painted and are now peeling. Not attractive at all.

I would not paint it.

Re: Painting Brick

DON'T DO IT!!!! The house we just bought has painted brick on the bottom and I hate it....We are either having the paint sandblasted off or putting cultured stone over it. All the rest of the homes on my block with the exposed brick look beautiful.....I wish that the past homeowner wouldn't have done that.
