Painting wrought iron railings - flat or semi-gloss?
After pricing new railings, we decided it wasn't worth it since our steps will eventually have to be replaced. So my DH stripped the 100 coats of paint off the old railings and I just primed them. I am painting them black and am unsure if I should go with flat or semi-gloss. While he got all the old paint off, they had a good bit of rust so they are far from perfect. I am wondering which finish seems more suitable and will show less imperfections. Any thoughts?
TIA

Semi gloss for sure!!!
ETA: Semi gloss shows more imprefections, so you DH should use steal wool and scrub them to get as much rust off as he can, but in the end they will still look better.

I agree.. semi gloss would look better but i guess it depends on what the rest of the outside of your house looks like and what color you're doing

semigloss. Rustoleum spray paint if this is for outside. It will last over time better. GL!
