Palmero on the Juice
WFAN is reporting that Palmero was tested positive for Steroids.
I wonder if Giambi will be next.

Re: Palmero on the Juice
Well i think a suspension for a few games is a JOKE. The player should be suspended for the year and be made to paid at leat a 1/4 of their salary

Re: Palmero on the Juice
i love palmero's alibi
"duh, how did THAT get in there"
sad to say, we're on a witch hunt now
and it's sad because giambi is on a roll now and even if he is not on the juice currently, and there is no proof that he is , he is a top suspect.
sad what the sport has become.

Well maybe if there were STRICTER consequences then there would be less usage 10 game suspension....PUHLEEZE If a team thought they would be knocked out of playoff contention...that might open peoples eyes!

That kind of how I felt. I can't believe he would be this stupid. I just wacthed a story on him this weekend about his career and hall of fame chances, etc. - I think this really adds to the tarnish!

He said 'I have never intentionally used steroids'. Being under such a spotlight, I would pay attention to everything that enters my body.

You KNOW that these guys are aware of every single thing that goes into their bodies...they are athletes....they have to know!

Re: Palmero on the Juice
I may be wrong on this, but I think the current status of the testing rules is that players are only randomly tested ONCE. After that one time, they're off the hook, but can volunteer to be tested if they so choose.
This is FH's theory behind Giambi's streak, by the way.

Re: Palmero on the Juice
Actually, they were talking about it on the FAN yesterday...and they can get tested randomly at any time and any amount of times. So if Giambi is on the juice, he could still get caught. Which, I personally, think he is...he is wayyyy too big again! Then again, I am not exactly a steroid expert
