In between size 1 and size 2. Baby is not big enough for 2, but too big for 1.

You can use them anytime!!  I haven't changed diapers for nighttime yet (DS is 7 months old).
Just when you think that size 1 is a little too small on your baby, you can either move up to size 1-2 or 2. I went right to 2, but when I had to move up to the next level, I went to 2-3, not the 3's right away.

They're for day or night. Are you buying them now? Personally, I'd wait to buy diapers until you figure out which ones work best for your DD. I normally use Pampers Swaddlers. My mom accidentally bought the Baby Dry ones for her house and I hated them. Every baby is different, but they were awful for DS.

i just got a box at Target a couple days ago and it was like $30...I like them better than the Luvs or Parents choice which were too rough.
