Pampers dry max opinions

so my older ds has grown out of size 6 diapers... potty training is not an option as he is only 18 months old and is definitely not ready... i was willing to pay the money for cruisers since they are the only diaper that is a size seven and pull ups are really my only other iption... however i have been reading alot of awful reviews with the new dry max (i am a luvs user) particularly that they are scratchy and cause rashes.... ds has a hemangioma on his tush and the last thing i need is to create issues with that again

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

Honestly--we have been using the new Cruisers for a few days, and I don't see a difference at all. They are definitely thinner, maybe just a tad less soft, but they are doing the job for us. My mom took DD out today and didn't change her diaper while they were out (3 1/2 hours Chat Icon), and while the diaper was MASSIVELY soaked, it all stayed contained. I couldn't believe how much it held.

With that said, we HAVE had some blowouts these last few days, but I'm not sure ANY diapers would have contained those--DD is cutting 3 teeth and her stools have been really runny. Chat Icon

thank your for the response... the online reviews are soooo bad which is why i was wondering....

diaper blowouts have been the name of the game in this house hold lately... between ds #2 pooping up his back all day long and ds #1 growing out of his (i actually had a pool of pee on the couch the other dayChat Icon ) I just wonder what is after size sevens?? so i put him in depends??

I personally love them. With the regular Cruisers we needed a seperate overnight diaper and with the Dry Max he no longer needs one. Not one leak so far!! LOVE THEM!!!

I know that most people don't like that but we have not had a problem. They are not as soft and they are for sure thinner but they are just as absorbent IMO.

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

I used my first one today. Didn;t notice a huge difference except they were slimmer and maybe not as soft.

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

In my opinion... THEY SUCK. DD#1 has sensitive skin and they gave her massive rashes using them. And she leaked thru them as well when she never did with the old Cruisers. Unfortunately, Dry Max is now being used in ALL of Pampers diapers (incl Swaddlers) so if they work for you, that is great!! Chat Icon Good luck! Chat Icon

I personally like them!!! They're thinner and do the job!! They have not caused any rashes on my DD, and thats that my DD just got over a really bad diaper rash and her poor hiney is still sensitive. So I would recommend them!!!

see that is my big concern... his skin isnt sensitive, but his hemangiona is a raised portion on his tush and when he was an infant it actually openned up and was infected for a good 3 months....

i really do not have many options as pampers really is the only diaper brand that makes size 7... and while he needs the larger diaper due to his long torso he is extra skinny.... so inorder to get pull-ups that fit his torso they are then so wide on him....

i really hope ds #2 slows down in his growth so i dont have to do this again

Well both my girls have sensitive skin - DD#2 we haven't tried them yet - but I noticed that our last 2 boxes and bags of cruisers were different - turns out they were the new ones in a bag and the other in the original cruisers boxes. I haven't had a huge issue with them. I do think they are cheaper. The tabs which in almost 3 years of changing diapers have NEVER ripped off for me - I have no lost about 6 tabs on the diapers which says they are cutting back on quality. I haven't had any leaks or diaper rashes.

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

We have been using them for a couple of weeks now. Kaydyn did leak through one of her diapers which she never does but since then we haven't had a problem so I'm not sure if she just peed a lot that day.

She has sensitive skin and hasn't had any problems with them.

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

I bought a small box of the cruisers with dry max the other day because I was running low. I started using them on Sunday and DS has leaked through them every night so far. I am so disappointed because this never happened with the swaddlers. I think I may have to give another brand a try, but I have NO idea which one.

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

We can't use the new pampers cruisers at all!! I bought a new box of them, and DS went through 10 diapers in a 6 hour period. The diaper wasn't wet, but his clothes sure were.

I wrote a letter to Pampers, and they assured me that this new diaper was drier. I told them they were right, because the diaper didn't absorb anything, my son's clothes did! My MIL washed his clothes twice within one day because it was like peeing into cardboard. Not even poop was held in.

I've been using pampers since he was born-didn't mind paying extra for them, but no more. I just got the up and up brand, and we are happy again-plus now I have some extra $$ in my pocket for DC #2's diapers in a few months.

I think we are going to give Huggies a try... if they don't work then we are going to try Luvs.

Re: Pampers dry max opinions

DD has been using them for over a month now I like them. DD is dry all through the night now and the pee stays mostly towards the front. They work very well for her.
