Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
Does anyone give their 11 month old pancakes for breakfast?
I need to change up Megans breakfast a little bit so I bought the toaster pancakes.
DO you put anything on them at all (no syrup right? Too sweet?). Do you just break it into little pieces or let them nosh on the whole piece? TIA

I bought her the low fat mini ones. I usually put a little butter on them so they aren't so dry. I cut them up to bite size pieces.
However, now she is starting to take bigger pieces and bite into them instead of shoving it in her mouth, so I may start giving her "bigger" pieces.

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
I feed Molly whole grain frozen waffles some mornings. She has it with a little butter and syrup. I also make her eggs with a little cheese so it's like a cheese omelet. Some other breakfast meals are yogurt with cereal and fruit, toast and fruit, cereal and fruit. She usually has a fruit with breakfast.
ETA: I cut everything in to bite size pieces for her.

Ellie likes pancakes. We've given her homemade ones. No syrup. She likes them dry. She eats waffles too, more often, almost every day. Can't seem to get her to like eggs yet.

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
Sometimes I make pancakes for Noah and freeze them, then I stick them in the toaster to defrost them and give them to him. He isn't that bothered about food really, but sometimes he likes them.

DD is almost 10 months and I give her homemade whole wheat banana pancakes. I do put some syrup on them b/c I think they might be too dry for her. She loves them!!!

I give them to DD all the time - actually pancakes is one of her favorite foods.
I give them to her dry - I have put butter on them - she doesn't seem to like them with butter too much.
She has waffles too

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
I started give them to Grace at 12 months. I only gave her homemade pancakes. I make the pancakes with a organic 10 grain mix ( 1 cup of mix), 1/2 cup of water, 1 tbsp of whole milk, one egg, and a 1/2 cup of frozen wild blueberries (the small ones) to the mix. The blueberries break apart a little and because they were frozen they kinda melt into the batter. When you cook the pancakes they come out very moist so Grace eats them without butter or syrup. She loves them, they are high in fiber & vitamins, plus she gets her blueberries in without me worrying about her choking on them (because they break apart).

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
I started giving Maddie little bites of pancakes around 9.5mths I think. I give them either plain or with a tiny drop of syrup. I can only give her homemade because I have to make them with soy or rice milk (she has a dairy allergy)

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
I make Ava whole wheat pancakes and dice up a banana in them. The kid can't get enough of them. I make them like silver dollar sized and freeze them so that all I have to do is nuke them. This way I know what's in them. I don't trust most frozen foods.

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
Yes! Basically all Katherine will eat for breakfast is yogurt and pancakes. I give them to her plain and sometimes she dips them in the yogurt.

Re: Pancakes for breakfast? Does anyone give them to their child?
My kids love breakfast, pancakes included. I try and make them, but in a pinch I use AJ frozen mini ones. They eat them plain in their hands. They also love waffles, french toast sticks, eggs, etc.
