Panic attacks, please help!
I don't know what is going on. I have had 3 panic attacks in the past couple days. I have not had this problem in years. I have been under a lot of stress though - DH and I moved into a new house 3 weeks ago, and DH just lost his job last week. So I guess I have been worried about all of this. Does anyone have any advice for me? I do not want to go through all of this again. Thanks.

Deep breaths, no caffeine and take a mental health day. ITA. Maybe try some meditation or Yoga. That helped me too. Also cut down on sugar.

Re: Panic attacks, please help!
The best advice I can give is to TRY to relax. Panic attacks are most caused by stress, and sudden change. Try to look at everything as baby steps. Then it's less overwhelming. Deep breathing a moment or 2 alone also helps. Try to reassure yourself during them. Keep saying i'm ok, it's a panic attack, i'm safe and it's ok. AFter awhile you'll believe it and relax

Re: Panic attacks, please help!
I have a visualization exersize that I use.
I lie down. I breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth with my hands on my belly. I picture the air I take in as pure and the air I let out as not pure.
While doing this I picture softness and soft hands enveloping me and comforting me, hugging me, while I think about things that make me smile and make me happy. Like a happy place.
It works almost all of the time.

Hi Laura, remember me?
Try and self - talk. THink of all the positives in your life right now, instead of the negatives.
Do you take any medication for this?
FM me if you need

Depending on how debilitating your panic attacks are, therapy and/or medication may be needed to get you some relief.

Re: Panic attacks, please help!
I am in the same boat as you right now. I have always been anxiety prone, but it was never this bad. I woke up the other night in a panic attack.
If you ever need to talk FM me. I know how much it $ucks.
