Pants for babies/tots with big bellies...where???
I have a very hard time finding pants fornmy son. I have had to buy a size of two bigger In the past and get them hemmed but still the waist always seems so tight. I have had some luck with baby rl but that is really it. I have tried gap, old navy,Janie and jack. Any other suggestions?

childrens place and old navy have the loose pants. They seem to help with his belly and chunky thighs that he still has. Gap is too tight on him.

We do well at ON for the opposite issue, E is too skinny for his length. Usually Gap is too big on his tummy...

We have the same problem here. Gap jeans no longer fit. The 18-24 month size with the elastic waist barely fit but are a good length. After that size, I was told they don't have an elastic waist. Other types of pants (sweat pants, pants from their playwear collection) do fit DS though, have you tried those? Stretchy pants from Carter's fit really well even with his tummy. Size 24 months Carter's shorts with elastic also fit his tummy although they are a bit too long for my taste but DH thought they were fine. (DS is 33 inches)
I have no advice as to jeans and khakis as I have the same problem.

Gap is horrible for Tyler right now.
I have this same issue and haven't found a place that sells pants that I really love.

Re: Pants for babies/tots with big bellies...where???
I don't really think there are other options.. my DS wears 18mos clothes because he's got such a chubby belly. I roll all his pants up - I'm not about to get pants hemmed when he's only going to wear them for a month or two.
I've noticed that once things start to fit in the length it's time to go up a size.
On the bright side, summer is coming so they'll be wearing shorts most of the time. Hopefully their height can catch up to their weight by the fall.

Re: Pants for babies/tots with big bellies...where???
I guess this is an issue for many. I have literally had more pants hemmed for my son then I have had in my life! Luckly a family friend does it no charge. Thanks for the suggestions. For sweats i manage to fi d things here and there but dress pants, jeans and khakis are a real problem. My son has been wearing a 2t for so long in everything due to this (since about a yr!). I am also crazy about him being comfy around the waist area. I'm going to hit up the mall this weekend and will keep everyone posted. I just bougt my son the cutest outfit frm Janie and jack for Easter and had to pass on the pants that complete it... annoying! I also love all the skinny jeans and stuff but I couldn't even get his thigh in them going up In size to boot!

Re: Pants for babies/tots with big bellies...where???
DS has same issue. gap is rough, Old Navy the worse in my opinion. I got a pair of jean from Polarn O Pyret and they are awesome. He is in the 1 - 1.5 yr size there and they are spacious is the waist, not too long and have the size adjustment in the waist. Not to mention, very cute. Ihaven't tried the chinos there but I would assume they would be the same.

I shop for DD..so I don't usually notice LOL. But I just took a quick look online and they DO have a few pairs..mostly khakis..they have adjustable waist..maybe that would work?
