Pants too tight - can it harm the baby?
I'm trying not to overreact, but the band on my pants were bothering me all day today. Somewhere around noon they just felt so tight that I spent the rest of the afternoon pulling them away from my body with one hand and working with my other.
It got progressively worse throughout the work day and when I got home I immediately took them off.
Ever since then, my lower belly where the waistband was feels sore to the touch, and I've been feeling tightening and mild cramping.
Could wearing pants that were too tight do anything to harm the baby?
I still feel him kicking and squirming in there which is reassuring.
I'm just worried about the soreness, tightening and cramping.
Please tell me I'm just overreacting.

I think you are fine, but if the symptoms continue, I would call the doctor to reassure yourself!!!!!!!!!

Well you're not overreacting b/c this is your first baby. So no question or fear is stupid. However, I severly doubt that you did any harm to the baby. The baby is very much protected inside your belly.
