Papa Razzi - Westbury
Has anyone ever had an event there like a RD, birthday, or shower? We are looking to have an event and their website seems limited on info - but I have heard great things about the food. Before we go to check it out I wanted to see what everyone's experience/opinions were.
Thanks!

same thing, but i was there twice.
The food isn't anything to write home about, - i would actually compare it to a Carraba's or Olive Garden-like "chain" food.

Oh, I think it is much better than the Olive Garden. It defiitely has better food.
I went to a shower there and it was very nice. They have a seperate room that can accomodate a good amount of people.

The building recently sold but I'm not sure if it is the same owner of the restaurant, might be different...

It's OK...I wouldn't rank it as one of my top fave Italian restaurants.

I went to a party there. The area was nice and roomy and the service was very good. The food - as far as I remember- was pretty good too.

Re: Papa Razzi - Westbury
We have our work parties there- the room is very nice - mostly private - there are two rooms now actually - one is completely private but it is big - the food at the holiday party was OK.

Re: Papa Razzi - Westbury
We've always had good food there, and at their restaurants in Massachusetts. It's a regional chain so the sale of the building wouldn't really change the menu or recipes. I'd say it's definately a step up from Olive Garden.

agreed...my mom said she was looking into having my bridal shower there and the menu and prices seemed reasonable. but then she got a great deal on carltun on the park thru one of my dads friends so she went with them instead.

Re: Papa Razzi - Westbury
We had our RD there. I love it there for the ambience, and great service. The food is good, but iwouldn't say it was my favorite italian food ever (though, IMO its ALOT better than ciao baby, but i was also unimpressed by CB). I'm not sure if they changeed it around, but the room in the back used to require you to guarantee at least 40 people. It was set up perfectly, they were Very easy to work with, great service, no one had to wait for drinks, etc... we had an incident where one of our guests bumped into the waiter, causing him to spill wine on another guest- the manager came right over, took $100 off the bill, and told our guest to forward him her dry cleaning bill and he would take care of it (i was impressed with how quickly and (more than) fairly they resolved it.. though i felt bad for the waiter-i thought he was going to throw up, he looked so upset ).
Anyway- i thought their prices were reasonable, food was good, service was good, and most importantly (for me) it was very hassle free, overall.
