Papal Mass tickets-- UPDATE!
Was ANYONE lucky enough to secure tickets to the Papal Mass at Yankee Stadium? Or to the Papal youth rally on Saturday? DH and I are DYING to go, but had no luck with any of the lotteries we entered through our parish and the diocese.
Does anyone have tickets that they are not planning on using? It would mean a LOT to me to be able to go....
UPDATE: We got TICKETS! Soon after I posted this, DH got home to the mailbox and we got tickets!!!!!!! Not to the Mass, but to the Youth and Seminarian Rally he will be addressing at the seminary in Yonkers onSaturday. We are so psyched for this once in a lifetime opportunity! Talk about luck!

sorry I can't help you but I also heard on the news that they are non-transferrable.

I was not lucky enough. They are definitely not transferable. When I filled out the form with from my parish, it was clearly printed on it. I was disappointed that I didn't get tickets.

There weren't that many made available. DH is Grande Knight of our Knights of Columbus and works with district closely as well and he couldn't even get us tickets.

No My mom and brother weren't lucky enough either. I know that they are doing extensive security checks through the FBI so they will not be transferable

We're supposed to be going but we're still waiting for the actual tickets and details. DH works for the Knights of Columbus and we were invited to go as part of the Supreme Knight's delegation. They do a lot for the Vatican in the way of charitible donations so we're hoping we have decent seats.

I went when the Pope was in Central Park many years ago.
It was such a moving experience that I will never forget.

I read this earlier and I hoped you would get tickets -I am so glad you did
I saw Pope JP II twice in the Vatican and it changed my life. Corny but true - it was the most amazing experience of my life and I hope that you get to feel what i felt!!!

We are really looking forward to it!! you are so lucky that you saw Pope JP II.... sounds corny, but there was something about him that I just really loved about him deep in my heart. he had that effect on people, except the young people in the Church. I am excited to hear Benedict and see what he has to say.

That's great...I would loved to have gone! Just the fact that he will be in NY makes me feel good though and I plan to watch it on TV.

i loved JP II - he was a wonderful man. i pray to him every night and he has helped me though a lot!
