Parenting issues....

How do you handle when you and your DH dont agree on how to handle situations with your DC?
For example when they tantrum, and your DH wants to handle it his way and you dont agree with the way he handles it?

Maybe you can talk about these siuations as a what if type of thing so you are prepared before hand and can deal with them as an agreement?

We have talked about it and agreed on how we would handle tantrums and such when it comes to baby, but even if we don't agree about a certain situation we try not to contradict each other in front of the baby and talk about it later.

Re: Parenting issues....

The truth?

Usually it's my way.

I pull the "I read all the books, I know what to do" card.

But we do try to discuss it after the event occurred and explain both of our sides.

Then I win.

It's not easy, but talk it out the best you can.

same in my house. you do no research, you get no final decision. Usually works unless he REALLY disagrees, which I have to say isn't much..
